Hymn to Gaia
This new work, lasting just under an hour, is written for choir, organ,
soloists, narrator and percussion and is set in the form of the
Eucharist but combining prayers from Budhist, Muslim and Native American
traditions as well as Christian ones and includes a range of poetry
dealing with environmental issues.
The premiere on March 13th in Christ Church Cathedral, Waterford will take place as part of Waterford New
Music Week and is followed by performances in Dublin on March 14th and
Galway on March 20th.
